Who is Ed Tapper?

Ian Sainsbury is an artist based in Plymouth who paints under the alias Ed Tapper. Ian had very limited social media presence and a small scale website. I worked with Ian to re-branding 'Ed Tapper' online. I designed and created and easy to use and accessible website for 'Ed Tapper' with the ability to host an online store. I also made a short documentary style video that will is versatile to sit upon not only the newly designed website but also promotion pages and social channels, for Ed's own social media and for exhibitors social medias also. I also set up and created instagram and facebook layouts for 'Ed Tapper'

'Who is Ed Tapper' is the artist statement of Ed Tapper visualised.

The documentary of the artist statement visualised gives the opportunity for Ian to use it on various platforms alongside his website and to send to exhibitors. Creating him an end card also gives Ian the tools to brand future projects and videos.

Ed Tapper - Website & Social Media Creation

Ian's new website is now sleek, minimalistic and user friendly.  With a primarily red theme to match with his iconic red artworks. Ian told me found memories whilst spending part of his childhood in Singapore looking at red buses and phone boxes on cake tins from England which heavily inspired his use of red. I wanted to incorporate that into his new brand and website.

There is still some work to do internally before the site goes live to the public, make sure to follow my facebook page Alice Sposito Productions as I will be posting on my social media when it goes live to the public!

Not having any social media presence previous to our collaboration, I created a unique, distinct theme for the 'Ed Tapper' instagram. Using Adobe Suite to explore new layouts and deigns to create a theme that really stood out. See it at @edtapperartist on insgtagram.

This project has completely re-branded and set up Ed Tappers online portfolio. Accompanying his online presence, the short documentary of his artist statement visualised really ties all of the elements of the brief together.‘Who is Ed Tapper’ has explored his life and work, portraying his vision and artist statement through video. The documentary being set around his home, his studio and surrounding areas such as Plymouth City Centre and Dartmoor, gave for some lovely cinematic moments to be captured.  Ian not having any social media presence prior to this project I ensured that the website and social media was accessible and easy to use. The documentary film primarily sits on his website but it also has its uses when Ian is exhibiting. ‘Who is Ed Tapper’ is a campaign that completely rebrands Ed Tapper on a range of digital platforms.

Colour grading really changed the dynamic of documentary section of the brief. With the raw footage files being rather flat in colour, colour grading had a great effect on the final outcome.

With such beautiful locations I really wanted to work with the colour of the film to create something beautiful.
